While this has proven close to impossible, Ahmad has ended up stuck in Ramallah, separated from his family and unable to return to Gaza. The film tries to portray how a man’s life is influenced by a situation like Ahmad’s, doing so by showing and not telling. With this film the viewer is invited into the isolated life of a man in a, to the viewer, unknown situation. Throughout the film we learn about the circumstances of Ahmad’s life and the situation we find him in. But only in the end of the film is the cause of his situation revealed, leaving us to care for the emotions that have been evoked.
